Stella Pin: Supporting The Humane Society of Louisiana
They're BACK!! Thanks so much for helping us sell OUT of round one! Here is round two, ready for you!
The story behind the Stella pin: Some of you may recall we had a scary life changing incident in November of 2020. Our beloved Boston terrier shop dog, a Stella, was stolen in a carjacking while Georgia and her daughter were loading the car on the levee riverfront. It was an agonizing time, and right after the crime, Georgia immediately got a call from Jeff Dorson with the Humane Society of Louisiana offering a generous reward for Stella's return. It worked. After Stella's photo and story was shared all over the internet and the local news, Georgia got the wonderful call that Stella was found after being dumped in New Orleans East. Stella was soon safe and back in her family's loving arms. Nobody gets the job done like fellow animal lovers! That day, Georgia vowed to give back to the Humane Society of Louisiana, to show appreciation for how quickly they came to her aid during such a stressful time. She has been donating to them personally, but The Bead Shop knew they could do even more to give back. We had this custom lapel pin designed and created by local artist, Kevin Griffin, who then had it produced right here in the USA!
We love that Stella is wearing her signature sassy bead shop swag, draped in soft beads like she often is.
$10 from the sales of each pin will be donated to the Humane Society of Louisiana. They have been an incredible resource during Hurricane Ida recovery and they need the help now more than ever.
Order now to be included in round one of our donation. We started with an order of 175 pcs. When we sell out, that will be WONDERFUL news and we'll take pre-orders for the next round!
Thank you for your support of this wonderful organization.
One of the photos included is a receipt from a donation to Jeff and the Humane Society. We were able to meet our goal and then some! Thanks so much for your support. Every DOLLAR donated to them goes to animals in need.
